We know…how can you make a perfect church? That’s impossible. Well, that really depends on what your idea of perfect is. We like to look at church as a place where we can be perfectly imperfect.
Our idea of a perfect church is a community where…
…love, acceptance, and forgiveness are the order of the day
…a person can walk through the door to experience a time of fellowship and worship that is understandable, accessible, and exciting
…the focus is placed on experiencing God, not performing for others
…needs can be met through prayer and service to one another
Our Vision
To Become a Perfect Church for Imperfect People
Our Story
Four Hills Church began as two families meeting once a week for Bible Study and dreaming of a church where imperfect people would be welcomed and embraced. In September of 2009, work began on forming a core group of people committed to this idea.
In December of 2009, 13 people chartered Four Hills Church with the Assemblies of God denomination. At that time, ideas were still be formed as to how this church could come into being, but the passion was there and the people were ready to work. A temporary facility was procured at Camp Crestwood in Crestwood, KY and renovations began.
In June of 2010, Four Hills opened its doors to the community. It was an exciting time as people began to be added to the church and lives began to be affected. For the next six months, Four Hills would work on learning to worship as a church and preparing for their next steps in ministry.
Four Hills Church is now in preparations to move into our permanent facility in La Grange, KY. The projected launch date at that new facility is April 3rd, 2011, meaning that, in less than a year, God has moved Four Hills from a temporary home to a permanent home.
We simply cannot wait to see what happens next!
